More dogs, cats, and critters at the Seattle Animal Shelter are able to thrive and find loving homes because of the work of the Seattle Animal Shelter Foundation (SASF). And SASF, quite simply, depends on the generosity of caring people like you.

In the spirit of the season, we ask you to make a gift of $35 or more to SASF today.

Here are just a few ways your gift provides for deserving animals:

$35 provides vaccinations and a microchip for a dog or cat
$60 feeds the shelter dogs for a week
$85 funds a cat spay/neuter procedure
$130 covers the cost of an x-ray for a Shelter animal

SASF, a 501(c)3 charitable organization powered entirely by volunteers, has granted more than $70,000 to the Shelter to date, which has resulted in improvements in the lives of shelter animals—including the underwriting of adoption fees for over 200 pets.

One of those pets is Poiky (shown above left), an older cat brought to the Shelter after his owner had to move into assisted living. Poiky had many health issues: His dental work, blood tests and special diet cost about $1,300. Because Poiky needs ongoing health care, the fact that his adoption fee was covered by SASF is a huge relief for his new adoptive owner.

By helping SASF, you’ll help the Shelter give animals like Poiky a second chance.

Thank you for demonstrating your commitment to the animals in our community through your support of the Seattle Animal Shelter Foundation.

Enjoy the season!
